"Arbres-troncs" by Zoé Van Der Haegen

L’artiste est retournée à Kalmthout après l’incendie de 2011. Les arbres morts, creusés et noircis par le feu, qu’elle a croisés au fil de ses explorations se retrouvent dans ce livre. Ces arbres ont été découpé aux ciseaux, pour ensuite être assemblés dans de nouvelles combinaisons entre eux, mais aussi avec des films plastiques de couleur.

The artist returned to Kalmthout after the 2011 fire. The dead trees, hollowed out and blackened by the fire, that she came across during her explorations are found in this book. These trees have been cut with scissors, and then assembled in new combinations with each other, but also with colored plastic films.
